Going Public
Oftentimes our Christian lives can remain as a private affair. However God’s intention was for it to be a public proclamation. The gospel is an announcement of ‘good news’. When the Roman Emperor sent a proclamation around the empire declaring a victory or achievement, this was called a ‘gospel’. The gospel is good news to be believed, not good advice to be followed. The gospel is meant to be good news for all people. This series will address how the gospel becomes good news to our non Christian friends and family in our common issues in life. It will address the obstacles people face in going public with the gospel, but also equip the ordinary people with tools to make a gospel connection with different facets of everyday life.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; not does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket but on the lamp stand and it gives light to all who are in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15
