Psalms of Thanksgiving and Praise

1) Below is a list of some psalms of thanksgiving and praise:
Individual thanksgiving/praise : Psalms 8, 9, 10, 29, 32, 33, 34, 65, 92, 95, 100, 103, 104, 113, 114, 116, 117, 118, 134-136, 138, 145-150

Communal thanksgiving/praise : Psalms 67, 107, 124

– Individually scan through the list of psalms and find one that speaks for you
– Read through the psalm slowly a few times
– What insights can you draw about thanksgiving and praising God?
– How does that speak to your attitude and practice of thanksgiving and praising God in everyday life? What step of obedience does the Lord want you to take in action/attitude?

2) Come together as a life group and read your psalm out and share your insights with one another with your step of obedience. 

3) Finish off in communal thanksgiving by each member completing the statements:
“I thank you Lord for ……..”
“I praise you Lord for …….”
