Missions Focus 2015
The Missions FOCUS Weekend has always been a life changing weekend for the life of our church. We will be launching it on Friday 31st July, with Bill Hodgson as our guest speaker. He is the national director of Campus Global Church Planting Movement Arm. He will be addressing our theme, on ‘Missions In Life’ and what this means to us, as disciples of Jesus. Bill will draw on principles & lessons from the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus provided us the example and model for making disciples that would result in a multiplying movement that would leave a legacy that will change the world.
Bill Hodgson
Bill was a High School teacher before he joined Campus Crusade for Christ Australia (CCCA) to begin Youth Ministries Australia (YMA). That was in 1979, the same year he married Faye. For the first 20 years Bill led YMA nationally and internationally training Youth Pastors and schools workers in how to build disciple-making missional youth ministries that were church based but school and community focussed. Bill was appointed National Director of CCCA from 1999 – 2013 and has continued to invest in developing leaders with a commitment to mission and a passion to build Jesus centred movements of multiplying disciples. In recent years he launched SHIFTm2M as a process refocussing leader’s thinking from ministries to movements through immersion in the life of Jesus. Since 2013 he serves on the Campus Crusade international Global Church Movements team mobilising leaders globally to multiply new faith communities and churches. He is a founding member of the Global Youth Initiative alliance. Bill enjoys photography, playing guitar, travel, hanging out over good coffee with family and friends. Faye and he have four married children and nine grandchildren.
