Psalms – Reaching the Heart of God

Our sole purpose in life is to know God, to glorify God and to enjoy God. Our lives are crammed with ideas and facts about who God is and what He has done, and too often that reality of God is remote to us with little emotional connections with Him. God can sometimes be as abstract as a mathematical equation with little passion for that truth. We cannot love an idea. We can only love a person with whom we have some experience. The Bible tells us that we can have a real relationship with the real God in the midst of real life. The Good News is that we have access to God through Jesus Christ, who paid for all our sins. If we put our faith in Him, we can become God’s children. This series will journey you through the Psalms, not just to tell you about God, but through petition, praise, lament and song, draw you into an experience with God.
