Read 2 Timothy 2:14-18, 4:1-4 and Hebrews 1:1-4

Observation
– What does it mean that God speaks to us in His Son? (Hebrews 1:1-4)
– What does it mean to accurately handle the word of truth?
– In what ways can we ‘mishandle’ the word of truth? In what ways have you ‘mishandled’ the word of truth?
– Greg shared that there are two extremes regarding hearing God speak:
1. God has this divine dialogue with you and your role is to tap into that conversation (e.g. fleeting thoughts or ‘treasure hunting’) or…
2. God only and ever only speaks through His Word
Discuss your experience of hearing God speak. Where do you sit in between these two ‘extremes’?

– Greg’s sermon was confronting in our approach to the Word. What questions was raised for you as you listened to his sermon? Discuss with one another.
– How did listening to Greg’s sermon make you reflect on the way you read and have ‘experienced God’ through the Word?
– Discuss with one another how you go about your daily devotional reading in detail?
