Read Philippians 2:1-13

Choose two of more

1. Do you have “any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from his love, any participation in the Spirit” this week (It also means testimoniesJ)? If yes, please take time to encourage one another in the Lord. (Phil 2:1)
2. Discuss why selfish ambition and self-interest are harmful to the church in Philippi? (Phil 2:2-3)
3. Why does God express his deity in the form of a servant or slave (doulos)? (Phil 2:5-8)
4. Discuss what is the meaning of “continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling”? (Phil 2:12)
5. What is the purpose of “God working in us”? (Phil 2:13)

1. Joy Builder #1 Unity (Phil 2:1-4)
2. Joy Builder #2 Humility (Phil 2:5-11)
3. Joy Builder #3 Salvation (Phil 2:12-13)

Choose one or more of the following questions:

– How does constant tension in close relationships steal joy away from you?

– Who is the most Christ-like person in your life that has demonstrated the virtue of Humility? How does it impact you?

– In what ways you are working out your salvation with fear and trembling?

True joy comes from living our lives for his good pleasure (Phil 2:13). Share how do you want to live your life for his good pleasure.
